Crown Point Community School Corporation will hold a transition-to-adulthood and resource fair for families and students on April 23 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Crown Point High School. The event includes more than 60 local organizations who will share information with families about opportunities and resources available for their children after graduation.
While the event is designed for students age 14 and up who receive special education services, families of all ages and interests are welcome to attend. The event is open to anyone, not just Crown Point families.
“This is our third year hosting this event,” said Director of Exceptional Education Heather Paskis. “And each year it grows and becomes better. We’re proud to partner with so many local businesses and organizations to help our students and their families plan for life after high school.”
Represented at the event will be local colleges, military branches, skilled trades groups, respite care providers, health care and treatment providers, employment/training services, and more. Midcoast Wealth Advisors will host a presentation about supported decision making and financial planning for families at 5:45 and again at 6:45.
