At the recent State Leadership Conference (SLC) in Indianapolis, Crown Point High School’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter not only competed but truly stood out. From March 9-11, 72 dedicated CPHS students showcased their skills among 1,379 delegates from across Indiana, competing in diverse categories ranging from finance and technology to health administration and leadership.
CPHS students attended engaging seminars, networked with peers, and were recognized for their outstanding community service and commitment to excellence. For the 2025-2026 school year, Mason Erbini was elected as Indiana BPA Region 1 President, marking the fourth consecutive year a CPHS student has held this honor. Adding to the excitement, Panagiotis Mattingly was elected as the Indiana BPA President, succeeding CPHS’s own Miles Warren. This marks the second consecutive year a CPHS student has led at the state level.
Creativity also took center stage as Jake Baumann's pin design earned top honors. His winning design will represent Indiana at the upcoming National Leadership Conference (NLC) in Orlando, becoming a symbol of pride traded by competitors from across the state.
The range of events saw CPHS students competing in areas such as:
-
Business & Finance: Accounting, Banking & Finance, Financial Analysis, and more.
-
Technology & Programming: C++, Python Programming, Computer Security, and Troubleshooting.
-
Media & Design: Broadcast News, Digital Media, Graphic Design, and User Experience.
-
Marketing & Entrepreneurship: Global Marketing, Small Business Management, and Entrepreneurship.
-

With 28 students advancing to the National Leadership Conference in Orlando this May, excitement and determination are high. Additionally, Miles Warren will continue his leadership journey by campaigning for a position on the 2025-2026 BPA Executive Council.
