CPHS Summer School Course Offerings
Online courses will appear in Buzz in early June when Online Summer School Courses begin. All students enrolled in these online courses in PowerSchool should see their course tile in Buzz after that time. If the course appears in PowerSchool, but the student isn’t seeing their online course in Buzz, the student should contact their online teacher directly.

Online Classes
Crown Point High School is offering the following online courses for our students.
- Online – Health - 2027, 2028, 2029 Cohorts
- This class is designed for students that have not yet taken the 1- semester graduation requirement course for health. All course content will be available through Buzz. The coursework can be completed at any location where the students have internet access. Students will work within a cohort and be required to submit assignments each week. If a vacation conflict occurs, the student must clear the absence with the instructor in advance. Students may come to CPHS during regular summer school hours for computer access. Students will receive regular feedback electronically from their instructor. One semester of health credit will be awarded upon the successful completion of this course.
- Online – Government - 2027, 2028 Cohorts
- This class is designed for students that have not yet taken the 1- semester graduation requirement course for government. All course content will be available through Buzz. - Online - Economics - 2027, 2028 Cohorts
- This class is designed for students that have not yet taken the 1- semester graduation requirement course for economics. All course content will be available through Buzz. The coursework can be completed at any location where the students have internet access. Students will work within a cohort and be required to submit assignments each week. If a vacation conflict occurs, the student must clear the absence with the instructor in advance. Students may come to CPHS during regular summer school hours for computer access. Students will receive regular feedback electronically from their instructor. One semester of economics credit will be awarded upon the successful completion of this course.
Credit Recovery
Students taking credit recovery courses will be using digital content in place of textbooks. These courses do not have an in person attendance requirement. However, students must attend the classroom component of credit recovery until they are released by the instructor, and may have required attendance days periodically. The credit recovery lab will open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 12:00 p.m. each day. Students that do not complete their course by the end of the summer school session will not be able to carry the course into the fall semester. There will be no cost for credit recovery courses where students are attempting to recover a credit. If retaking a class to improve a grade there is a cost of $21.33 per credit.
