Dual Credit Information

As the month of November begins, here are some reminders about Advanced Placement testing.

Advanced Placement students have signed up for their AP exams. Students accomplished this in class with their teachers.
When students signed up for their exam, they agreed to both take their AP exam as well as pay for their AP exam.
This year, AP exams cost $99 per exam.

Please open the attached PDF file titled "AP Exam Fee Explanation Letter for Families” and read through it for more information.

At this time, families will be able to make payments for AP exams.
- Information on how to make payments can be found in the attached letter.
- We ask that all payments are made on or before Friday November 8^th. Thank you!

Advanced Placement Exam Registration and Payment

Please be aware that some of these exams carry a financial responsibility. Please review the attached letter for an explanation of costs specific to each AP course.

Registration Information

Every student needs an AP / College Board account in order to "Log In" and register.
- Any student experiencing trouble with their account can reach out to Mr. Vince Bauters (vbauters@cps.k12.in.us)
AP Teachers will register their students for their exam using a unique join code that the teachers provide to the students.
Once students log into their account and enter their join code from their teacher - they are registered for the exam.
Students will be registering themselves for their exam.
- Please talk to your student about their AP Exams and inquire about any cost for the exam.
There is no paper work to complete for registration.

Any student in a second semester course will not need to worry about registering for an exam until the second semester starts. Once the new semester starts, these students will register with their second semester teacher starting in January.

Any student in an AP class is expected to register for the exam. Most exams are paid for by the state and other funding. If a student is against taking their AP exam they should communicate with their AP teacher and their principal.

Receive Your AP Scores in July
AP scores are no longer mailed.
Sign up for an account at: http://www.collegeboard.org/ap-scores.html (it's free).
1. Once you've taken your exams, just remember your College Board account username and password, and one of the following: Your AP number - you'll find it on the label in your AP Student Pack at exam time OR Your student identifier (student ID number) if you put it on your AP answer sheet at exam time.
2. Wait for an email - then receive your scores online.
  You will receive an email after the exam period letting you know how and when to access your scores.
